Leonardo was the consummate guide! Unbelievably attentive to every need on the ride, very knowledgeable and a fabulous personality to make the ride entertaining! Incredible route with breathtaking vistas…one of the best rides I’ve ever experienced!

If you want to ride around Florence you must hire Leonardo! He is very knowledgeable about the region and the very best cycling roads. He was super engaging in conversation and was a very nice and interesting guide to spend the morning with. Even though Leonardo is a very strong rider he let me set the pace. I will be back… 5 stars!

Leonardo took exquisite care of us…from the great planned routes, to the attention to detail, to being flexible with our many adjustments to the plan. His English is excellent, a nice conversationalist, he is service oriented, and a great rider to boot. We can’t say enough good things about Leonardo and I highly recommend him for your next ride around Florence or Tuscany.

I was going on vacation to Florence and wanted to get in some riding. Most on the cycling sites I looked at did not fit my riding style. So a friend recommended Leonardo Olmi and VeloGuide. It was everything I was looking for. Leo and I rode out of Florence and though the Chianti roads. Leo is a very experienced cyclist and very strong rider, He always know when to push it and when we needed to recover. He is very knowledgeable about the area and the culture. He always asked if we wanted to stop and take pictures or just to enjoy the view. Always gave me options on which way I wanted to go. I really enjoyed the ride and Leos company and I am looking forward to ride again with Leo next year. Jay Forgione,

Wow! While I was getting off a nasty cold, I managed to suck it up and get out on a ride with Leonardo. Super good guy and a National Masters Champ to boot. The ride included a nice stop for lunch and a beer. Perfect. Leonardo pushed on the short climbs (but I asked for it) and definitely felt it. I cannot wait to come back!

Leonardo is a wonderful guide. He made me feel very safe in Florence traffic, which can be intimidating to say the least. He led me out of the the city and into the Tuscan hills. for a wonderful day of riding. My only regret is that I only had time to spend one day with him. This was my first VeloGuide ride, and I can promise that is won’t be my last. Thanks Leo and VeloGuide, for taking my vacation over the top!

A bunch of friends and I had a idea to cycle in Tuscany and Umbria and came across Leonardo. He made the idea come to life. Leonardo was supremely client -focused and really tried hard to apply his local knowledge to improving our experience. We initially just thought of using him for support, route ideas and mechanic skills but rapidly realised that he really came to life and added value as a cycle guide. The most luxurious part of his talents was that on the hills he would chat away regaling us with interesting stories to distract us from the pain of the Tuscan hills. Then, once we arrived in the charmingly perched Tuscan village he seemed to know everyone and was willing to share his friends with us. Overall he is a great guide, a strong cyclist and a great living example of Tuscan hospitality. If he has any weakness it’s that like all Tuscans he uses 100 words when 10 will do – but that is wonderful particularity of Tuscany and hugely valuable when you’re as interested in Tuscan culture, history and cuisine was we were!

I have been very lucky to visit Tuscany twice in the last 2 years and go cycling with Leonardo on one of his guided tours. His experience and knowledge of the area is second to none, you would not regret taking a tour of this beautiful area of Italy.
